i can't really make art, but i would get that feeling from riding my bike sometimes.

i didn't realize it was something i'd been missing as much as i was.

no. i've been working on trying to get the parts together to build one, though.

[ she has since this point received one as a belated gift, though, so at some point clary will get an offer to take a ride with her. ]

I'm not super familiar with building them, but I'm happy to buy parts or whatever.

I've only ever been on a bike once.

Maybe you could even teach me to drive it sometime.

i'd say you can try giving me an art lesson in exchange but i'm pretty sure teaching you to ride might be an easier task.

art requires passion, doesn't it? i'm not sure that's something you can teach me.

I don't think so.
Anyone can learn the techniques, then it's just... focusing that passion into the work.
You'll never know unless you try, right?

You teach me to ride a bike, I'll give you some art lessons.
If it doesn't work out, at least you'll know for sure.
